The ClassMate HE is a vertical packaged air conditioning unit designed for installation in classrooms in order to provide a healthy and safe learning environment, offering a sensible balance between energy efficiency and the proper amount of fresh outdoor air, states the manufacturer. ClassMate HE offers 13-SEER efficiency, uses R-410A, and offers two-stage scroll compressor technology with part-load facility. The rear exhaust air outlet, now raised above sill height, reduces the cost of installation, the company says. Features include outside air louvers (available in various colors and styles), an indoor fan motor with ECM fan technology, quick-draining hydrophilic fin evaporator coils, and modulating economizer damper. Heat pumps or hot-water heating are optional.
