Sens-A-Coil is a thermistor temperature sensor for monitoring the refrigerant temperature in condenser and evaporator coils. The sensor has a fast-response thermistor element integrated into a copper clip specially designed to snap onto 3/8-inch return bends, says the manufacturer. Housed in a small bulb attached to the copper clips, the sensor maximizes sensing surface area, which enables the sensing element to react quickly to any changes in the refrigerant temperature, states the company. Sens-A-Coil comes standard with 10 feet of AWG No. 22 PVC jacketed cable.
