ACCA Chapter Sponsoring Refrigerant Recovery Training

SILVER SPRING, Md. - The National Capital Chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA-NCC) is sponsoring a refrigerant recovery training program for HVACR technicians. The program, which includes training and testing, is scheduled for June 12, 2004, in Sterling, Va.

The program has been developed by ACCA and the Pennsylvania College of Technology Transfer Center (PCTTC).

During this program, technicians will receive a training manual, which includes information on recovering and containing refrigerant from both high- and low-pressure air conditioning and refrigeration equipment above and/or below 25 tons.

Upon passing the test, the technician will receive a certificate and a wallet card from PCTTC. The PCTTC maintains a database of all technicians who have successfully passed the refrigerant recovery training test.

For more information, call ACCA-NCC at 301-384-2222 or e-mail plupson@acca-ncc.org.
