The C-Series thermal expansion valve (TXV) is designed and optimized specifically for use in R-410A systems. According to the manufacturer, it provides the most precise superheat control in the industry, resulting in greatly enhanced compressor protection. Features include reverse-flow capacity, balanced-port construction, newly designed power element and charge, and hermetic leak-free construction. Options include high-flow internal check valve, which allows reverse flow for heat pump applications, eliminating the need for external piping and external check valve; adjustable or nonadjustable superheat; and bleed-type pressure equalization to accommodate permanent split capacitor-type compressors.
