The Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) recently announced Josh Brawn, New Brunswick Community College, and Nick Kostaniuk, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, as the most recent recipients of HRAI’s Orvil L. Davie Memorial Fund bursary.

The Ontario College of Trades recently announced that journeyperson-to-apprentice ratio reviews are now taking place. Review panels have been struck and are calling for submissions on the journeyperson-to-apprentice ratios in groups of trades that impact the HVACR industry.

The 20th biennial production of the CMX-CIPHEX Show attracted more than 14,000 registrants. The event, presented by the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) featured more than 900 booths with exhibitors displaying new products and trends.

Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) president Warren Heeley recently forwarded a list of comments to Environment Canada regarding draft revisions to the Code of Practice for Elimination of Fluorocarbon Emissions from Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

The 2013 annual meeting will provide delegates with  business sessions and  opportunities for industry networking.
