When I took my first trip to California in 1982, the state’s sunny skies,
palm trees and ocean views entranced me. With the Mamas and the Papas’
“California Dreaming” playing in my head, I understood why people were moving
there in droves.
I shouldn’t be surprised that as we approach
Election Day the mudslinging increases and the negative campaigning and
name-calling continues to overshadow the “real issues” and platforms of the
major political parties.
A few weeks ago, I was happy to report that Grainger had expanded its technical education scholarship program. I’d now like to point out a positive gesture from the Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA).
Two events recently happened that reinforced my belief that my
job, my profession, and the trade I serve are just secondary plateaus in life.
There is one thing that is more important - and that is life itself.
