York International: mini split system

This high-wall mini split air conditioning system is aimed at homes, offices, and retail stores that do not have ductwork for central air. The unit is compact, quiet in operation, and designed to be aesthetically pleasing, says the company. It is available in three capacities: 1, 1 1/2, and 2 tons. The system is controlled by a hand-held LCD remote electronic controller which adjusts temperature, fan speed, air sweep, sleep mode, and timed setbacks.

York International Corp., Unitary Products Group, 5005 York Drive, Norman, OK 73069; 405-364-4040; www.york.com (Web site).
