Wind Turbine Manufacturing Plant To Be Built In Portland

Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a Danish producer of wind turbines, has announced that it will build a new wind turbine manufacturing plant in Portland, OR, due to its “very positive expectations” of the American market.

The new facility will be capable of producing 300 wind turbines per year. It is expected to be ready for production by the summer of 2003 and reach full capacity by the beginning of 2004.
