ST. LOUIS - White-Rodgers, an Emerson company, and part of the Emerson Climate Technologies business group, recently announced the winners of its second annual Universal Products Promotion for wholesalers and contractors. The promotion awarded $15,000 in prizes, including gift certificates from Bass Pro Shops, a leading supplier of premium outdoor gear.

Contractors were given an opportunity to win every time they purchased White-Rodgers' newly expanded offering of universal heating products. More than 2,900 entries were submitted for the promotion, which ran from October 2003 through February 2004.

Mike Beynen from Lake Orion Plumbing and Heating, Lake Orion, Mich., was awarded a $5,000 Bass Pro Shops gift certificate for purchasing the winning product. Jason Prahl of Michigan Temperature Controls, Port Huron, Mich., was awarded a $1,500 gift certificate for selling Beynen the winning purchase. Michigan Temperature Controls, the distributor location that sold the first-place winner, received $2,500 for a training fund from White-Rodgers.

The White-Rodgers Universal Products Promotion was designed to create awareness for the company's newer universal heating products. These products are designed to allow contractors to carry just one or two models on their truck to replace virtually any old White-Rodgers or competitive part. The newest product is the Universal HSI Module with break-off programming keys. This one kit replaces most non-integrated modules in the field, says the company.

"We congratulate Mike Beynen and Jason Prahl, and thank them for their continued support of White-Rodgers products," said Dave Shingleton, division director of Distribution Sales for White-Rodgers. "We also want to thank everyone involved in the successful promotion, all the contractors, distributors, and Bass Pro Shops. It was a win-win for everyone involved."
