The Vitosol 100-F flat plate solar collector is an economy option to the company’s line of flat plate and vacuum tube solar collectors. The collector features rugged, high-quality aluminum frame construction, impact-resistant solar glass, and a solar energy harvest with a selectively coated copper absorber. Available with the same quick-connect fittings, prefabricated mounting hardware, and system components as other collectors by the manufacturer, it’s an option for installations where budget considerations are a key factor, such as large-scale commercial applications. According to the manufacturer, the 100-F Series is ideal for solar domestic hot water (DHW) or pool heating systems and qualifies for available U.S. federal and state incentive programs. In Canada, the collector will be part of the government of Canada’s ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat Program for commercial and industrial installations.
