The Style 177 QuickVic flexible coupling is an extension of the patented installation-ready product line. It is designed for joining standard roll grooved and cut grooved steel pipe. According to the manufacturer, the new coupling features the same capabilities as existing standard flexible grooved couplings but installs in one-half the time. The coupling is easily installed without the need to disassemble the bolts, nuts, gasket, and housings. Crews can assemble a grooved joint by inserting the new installation-ready coupling onto the ends of a pipe, fitting, valve, or accessory and tightening the nuts using standard hand tools or an impact gun. The new coupling is suited for HVAC, utility piping, process piping, and mining applications and is rated up to 1,000 psi/6,900 kPa.
