Vibration Analysis Training Available Online

FORT MYERS, Fla. — VibrationSchool.com announced that it has launched online vibration analysis training through its new Web site (www.vibrationschool.com). According to president Terrence O'Hanlon, the course is designed for industrial plant predictive maintenance personnel who want to increase machinery reliability.

The company says the course includes over 250 pages of material, including animations to reinforce the lessons. Students learn from the convenience of their desktop at their own pace. A spectrum reference guide is included to assist students in interpreting readings collected in the field. Several new chapters are planned for release each quarter, says the company.

O’Hanlon added that vibration analysis is “the cornerstone of most machinery condition monitoring programs.” Best practices benchmarks indicate that up to 50 percent of maintenance funding and activity should be focused on condition based activities. VibrationSchool.com provides an online training alternative that does not require travel or time away from the workplace.

The training course can be accessed with any Web browser with no other software required, the company says.
