The Radiant Rollout™ mat is a custom-designed, prefabricated, pre-pressurized network of crosslinked polyethylene (PEX-a) tubing designed for radiant heating and cooling applications. Because it’s prepackaged and pre-pressurized, the mat provides hassle-free commissioning of a radiant heating and cooling system, the company says. It can be used in large commercial projects. Distribution flow options includes in-slab with ¾-inch reverse-return header and wall manifold featuring the TruFLOW™ Classic. The mat consists of AquaPEX® (nonbarrier) or Wirsbo hePEX™ (oxygen barrier) PEX-a tubing connected with ProPEX® engineered plastic fittings, which are safe for burial in the slab and offer fast onsite customization when necessary. According to the manufacturer, the mat can install about eight times faster than conventional radiant tubing installation methods, potentially shaving weeks off of an installation schedule and offers contractors less time spent on their hands and knees during installation, saving on muscle and back strain.
