TSI Inc., Environmental Measurements and Controls Division: FUME HOOD MONITOR

The new Model 8612 Everwatch™ fume hood monitor is a cost-effective, easy-to-use product for monitoring fume hood face velocity, says the manufacturer. According to the company, using a sidewall sensor that is calibrated to the fume hood’s flow character-istics, the monitor provides continuous protection, providing accurate and reliable face velocity measurement, while ensuring worker safety with a red light feature, audible alarm, and a remote alarm relay contact to warn workers of unsafe velocity levels, the company says. The unit fulfills OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI Z9.5 requirements.
