TYLER, TX — Trane Unitary Products Group, a division of American Standard Companies, announced at its recent 2001 distribution meeting that it will offer 10-year limited warranties for Climatuff® compressor, outdoor coil, and internal functional parts on all current XL products and the new XL_i cooling and heat pump model families beginning with installations after October 1, 2001. The new limited warranties are available only for residential installations on products manufactured January 1, 2000 or thereafter.

In addition, Trane will also include the five-year internal functional parts limited warranties on all other cooling and heat pump model families and gas furnaces, air handlers, coils, and packaged units. Compressor and outdoor coil warranties will be either 10 or five years, depending on the model family. These longer parts limited warranties are available only for residential installations on products manufactured after January 1, 2000, and installed after October 1, 2001. Existing limited warranties on commercial products will remain unchanged.
