Trane’s Schultz To Retire Soon

PISCATAWAY, NJ — American Standard Companies Inc. (Tyler, TX) announced that James Schultz, president of the Trane Commercial Systems division here in Piscataway, will retire from the company at the end of this year. Fred Poses, chairman and ceo of American Standard, will lead the business until a successor is named.

Schultz joined Trane in 1970 and served in a number of sales management positions. In 1981 he was promoted to vice president of operations for Trane Thermal. Two years later, he was named vice president and general manager of Applied Unitary Refrigeration Systems.

Schultz was made an officer of the company in 1985, and was promoted to executive vice president of Applied Global Systems with responsibility for applied products worldwide in 1997.
