Refrigerant Management Canada (RMC) announced that it has now collected and safely destroyed over 1 million kilograms of environmentally-damaging refrigerant waste. Championed by industry, RMC is Canada’s response to the Montreal Protocol and the global challenges of ozone depletion and climate change.
Pierre Martin, chair of the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) was presented with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Best-of-the-Best Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award by Drusilla Hufford, director of the EPA’s Stratospheric Protection Division.

an agreement to provide association administrative services to members of the

The new North American Congress on Hydronics (NACH) is
comprised of three of the leading trade associations related to hot water
heating: the Canadian
Hydronics Council, the Hydronics Industry Alliance (a marketing arm of the Gas

Mike

Mondial
Energy Inc. has installed Ontario's largest, most powerful solar thermal
heating system at one of WoodGreen’s housing sites on Toronto’s Queen St. East.
The installation is a partnership between WoodGreen Community Services and
Mondial Energy.
The HVACR Heritage Centre Canada is an online virtual museum that catalogs and promotes the historic achievements of the Canadian HVACR industry. The museum maintains both federal and charitable status, and has recently elected Tom Boutette and Bill Podd as new directors to its board.

River College of Applied Arts, Science, and Technology is offering a
residential HVAC course beginning Oct. 16. The classes will be held from 6-9
p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday until Feb. 28, 2008.
