EH&E’s energy optimization project at Good Samaritan Medical Center, a hospital in the Steward Health Care Network, has received top honors in the Best Practice Sustainable Building Operations by a Building Owner category at the International Facilities Management Association’s (IFMA) Boston Awards of Excellence ceremony.

Pennsylvania’s North Penn School District received a 2013 Energy Star Partner of the Year award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on March 26 in Washington, D.C. The prestigious award recognizes the district’s energy efficiency efforts.

Ken Marino of Wayne Crouse Inc., Pittsburgh, recently made a $1,000 contribution to the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation (MCERF); he designated half the donation to the MCERF Scholarship Program.

Peirce-Phelps Inc. has announced that Foley Mechanical, Medford, N.J., is the winner of the 2012 Q4 sales competition for Eternal hybrid water heaters. The competition was sponsored by Philadelphia-based Peirce-Phelps and Grand Hall, manufacturer of the Eternal hybrid water heater line.
