Pennsylvania DEP Accepting Applications for Small Business Advantage Grants

Pennsylvania Announces Small Business Advantage Grant Recipients

Eligible projects include high-efficiency HVAC and insulation upgrades

Gov. Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania announced that nearly 140 businesses across the state will soon install energy-efficiency or pollution-prevention projects using Small Business Advantage Grants provided by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). This year, DEP awarded more than $980,000 to 139 small businesses.

The Solar Expansion Sits Atop a 58,575-Square-Foot Store Extension Completed Last Summer

IKEA has officially plugged-in an expanded solar energy array atop its Boston-area store that opened nine years ago in Stoughton, Massachusetts. The 51,516-square-foot solar panel addition consists of a 318-kW system built with 1,248 panels, and will produce 385,900 kWh more electricity annually for the store.

After looking at almost two dozen plants, the county purchased a Hurst biomass boiler district heating system with a backpressure steam turbine/generator.
