ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Bureau (TABB) will hold its first annual conference this fall in conjunction with the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) conference, which will be held in Las Vegas, NV, Oct. 18-19.

According to the National Energy Management Institute (NEMI), the goal of the conference is to provide challenging ideas on how to expand markets in the industry by focusing on building commissioning.

“We feel that the commissioning market, which is in its infancy, has the potential to expand significantly over the next five years,” said Erik Emblem, NEMI executive director.

One of the highlights of the conference will be a presentation by FMI Vice President John Hughes on building commissioning and its relationship to TABB on Oct. 19.

The conference will open on Oct. 18, with a reception featuring humorist and Newsday columnist Ed Lowe. A luncheon will take place the next day and will feature keynote speaker Fred Turner from the ASHRAE Journal and Ron Rodgers, SMACNA president.
