TABB Announces Annual Conference

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Bureau (TABB) will hold its Second Annual Conference and First Annual TABB Product Show Sept. 26-27, 2003, in Washington, D.C., at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

According to TABB, the purpose of the conference is to inform TABB-certified contractors, supervisors, and technicians about developments within the certification program and emerging industry trends, as well as to obtain feedback from the attendees.

“The flow of information from the International Certification Board (ICB) of TABB to its certified professionals is extremely important to the success of this certification,” said Erik Emblem, administrator of TABB. “We want them to understand decisions and want those decisions to be reflective of industry needs.”

The TABB Product Show will provide an opportunity to meet and talk with manufacturers and suppliers in the industry. The conference will feature a session on the challenges for balancing and IAQ in relation to underfloor air distribution, presented by James Woods, executive director of the Building Diagnostics Research Institute. Other sessions will include an expert on flow hoods as well as a panel discussion with the ICB.
