System Sensor: DUCT SMOKE DETECTOR

The company’s duct-mounted smoke detector is UL listed for smoke detection in air speeds as low as 100 ft/min, including locations where slow-moving air is present, such as in vav boxes and fire/smoke dampers, the manufacturer says. The detector offers advanced self-diagnostic capabilities, including a cover-missing signal that emits a trouble signal if the cover is left off for more than 20 min, the company says. The smoke detector is available in both two- and four-wire photoelectric versions, with input power option, including 24 vac/vdc or 110/220 vac.
