Sustainable Partnership Between Daikin and ASHRAE

Daikin Industries Ltd., parent company of Daikin AC (Americas) Inc., donated several heating and air-conditioning systems that service the entire first floor and learning center of the newly renovated American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ (ASHRAE’s) headquarters, located in Atlanta. Daikin also provided the funding for the first reception area, known as the Daikin Reception Area and a vegetative roof garden, which will be named the Daikin Sustainability Garden.

“Daikin Industries is pleased to be a partner in the ASHRAE Headquarters Renewal Project which is helping to preserve resources for current and future generations,” said Kosei Uematsu, senior executive officer, Daikin Industries Ltd., and president Daikin U.S. Corp.

During the ceremony, several Daikin officials as well as industry leaders were present to congratulate ASHRAE’s Headquarters Renovation Committee. They include those pictured from left to right: Christina Trondsen, director of marketing, Daikin AC; Yoshinobu Inoue, president, Daikin AC; Bill Harrison, president, ASHRAE; Russell Tavolacci, vice president and general manager, Daikin AC; Kosei Uematsu, senior executive officer, Daikin Industries Ltd., and president, Daikin U.S. Corp.; Tom Watson, chief engineer, McQuay; Jeff Littleton, executive vice president ASHRAE; Mike Bregenzer, vice president of business planning and distribution development, Daikin U.S. Corp.
