Star Supply commemorated the opening of its new facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Star Supply Co. held a special ribbon cutting ceremony April 29, commemorating the grand opening of its new facility at 118 Gando Drive in New Haven. Approximately 600 guests consisted of HVAC contractors, manufacturers, employees, and friends.

The ribbon cutting commenced with a welcome speech by Larry Cohen, president. Connecticut Governor Jodi Rell presented the company with an award acknowledging the business and service it has contributed to the city. She named April 29 as the official Star Supply Day.

"I am grateful to everyone who has made this achievement possible," said President Larry Cohen. "Peggy and I would not be standing here without all of your work and love."

Manufacturers who participated in a vendor exhibition included Acme, ADP, R.W. Beckett, Duro-Dyne, Hart & Cooley, Honeywell, Johns Manville, Metal-Fab, Mitsubishi, Quietflex, Sporlan, Tecumseh, TMS/Fasco, Trane, Weil McLain, and Williamson.

Star Supply had been running its business from State Street, New Haven, since 1964. The new, 165,000-square-foot facility includes an enhanced customer service area and state-of-the-art training center.
