This large leak detection dye in-jector, called the Spectroline® BigEZ™, contains enough fluorescent dye to treat air conditioning and refrigeration systems containing up to 16 gal (61 l) of lubricant, says the company. It features a disposable dye cartridge, calibrated in 1/8-oz increments, so a technician can add the required amount of dye by just turning a handle, the manufacturer says. The product consists of a handle/threaded shaft and collar assembly; a cartridge prefilled with 4 oz of AR-GLO® fluorescent leak detection dye; and a hose assembly with a low-loss fitting.
