GREENVILLE, SC — Rockwell Automation has announced the launch of its Industrial Product Configurator application on Ptplace.com, the company’s business-to-business e-commerce site. The application makes it possible for customers to perform online configuration and ordering of a range of Reliance Electric™ motors and Dodge® Qauntis® gearmotors and reducers.

Traditionally, product selection has been accomplished through the use of a printed catalog that lists a variety of products along with their basic operating ranges and features. A user reviews the catalog and then selects a product with operational capabilities that most closely match the application requirements. Or, a user may contact a consultant or supplier to have this function fulfilled.

Now, with the product configurator, users can provide the desired inputs and receive a customized product solution.
