SMACNA Conference To Address Global Issues

CHANTILLY, VA — The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) will hold its 59th annual convention Oct. 20-23 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV.

According to SMACNA, global and domestic issues will top the agenda for the upcoming convention.

Former Secretary of State James A. Baker III will address attendees at the opening session. Baker is the author of The Politics of Diplomacy: Revolution, War & Peace, which addresses national and global issues related to diplomacy, politics, and the economy while drawing on his experiences from the international stage.

Dr. Jeffrey Rosenweig, a frequent guest on CNN and NBC’s “Today” show, will also be present at the convention. During the Oct. 21 luncheon, Rosenweig will present his views about the changing domestic economy.

The theme for this year’s convention is “Take the Gamble Out of Business” and will feature forums in seven market sectors — architectural, industrial, custom metal fabricating and manufacturers, hvac, residential, service contracting, and duct manufacturers.

The annual event will also showcase a one-day Equipment and Product Show on Oct. 22.

For more information on the convention, visit www.smacna.org (website).
