BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. - Two Siemens companies have partnered to actively research and develop the next wave in wireless building solutions. Siemens Building Technologies Inc. and Roke Manor Research are now working to develop new solutions based on emerging wireless technologies, such as IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee, and other related low-powered, low-cost, mesh wireless solutions.

"At Roke Manor Research, we have been at the cutting edge of wireless research and development for almost 50 years," said Malcolm Streeton, principal project manager. "Since becoming part of Siemens in 1991, a range of Siemens businesses have benefited from our capability, in particular Siemens Communications and its cellular radio products.
