Sid Harvey Starts Recruiting Service

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - In response to growing industry concerns about the shortage of qualified HVACR industry professionals, the distributor Sid Harvey Industries has announced a new service program called Employment Solutions.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor estimates, shortages of more than 80,000 qualified people to fill positions in service, maintenance, installations, and sales are expected by the end of 2005. Employment Solutions is an online, nationwide service available to business owners, techs, and sales professionals in the trade. It can be accessed by visiting one of Sid Harvey's 70 branches or through www.sidharvey.com.

The new service will feature three segments:

findMEP, a management and executive recruiter.

MEPatWORK, an Internet job posting rÃ©sumÃ© board for apprentice to management-level job seekers.

VeriCruit, an online background verification service that offer hiring companies insight into a candidate's driving history, criminal background, employment, and credit.

Business owners looking for candidates will be able to visit an HVAC-specific rÃ©sumÃ© board and review rÃ©sumÃ©s. Industry veterans will have an opportunity to post their qualifications on the rÃ©sumÃ© bank. Both owners and job seekers will receive online notification of candidates and openings.
