Sept. 9, 2004: PowerCold And Munters Sign Long-Term Alliance

LARGO, Fla. - PowerCold Corporation has announced the signing of a five-year strategic alliance with Munters Commercial Dehumidification Division for the marketing and sale of commercial HVAC dehumidification packages. Under the terms of the agreement, PowerCold will market, install, and service Munters' Humidity Control Units (HCUs) with its HVAC systems. Munters will support the relationship with promotional literature, technical specifications, performance software, and support services.

According to the companies, the agreement represents the next step in an expanding relationship between PowerCold and Munters. The two companies have worked together for over a year to target a number of national hotel, restaurant, and retail chains for joint marketing efforts that are expected to generate significant revenues over the next five years.

Larry Klekar, Munters' national accounts sales manager, said, "Munters and PowerCold together provide the most efficient package of HVAC equipment available on the market. Customers will benefit by selecting a reputable company like PowerCold to engineer and supply the industry-leading technology of a Munters HCU. The alliance is a ‘win-win' situation for all parties involved, and Munters looks forward to the expansion into key national accounts with PowerCold."

Robert Yoho, president of PowerCold ComfortAir Solutions, said, "The first HCU installation in an Eckerd drug store allowed the customer to raise the temperature from 74 to 78 degrees, while keeping the humidity at a constant 45 to 50 percent rh, 24 hours a day. This resulted in a 20 percent reduction in kWh for the store. This ensures that our commercial customers will receive high quality, dependable products that reduce energy costs and meet the highest levels of comfort and service. We look forward to further product expansion beyond current products needed to meet future growth."

PowerCold has also recently formed new alliances with other HVAC companies including Amcot Cooling Tower Corporation, Teletrol Systems Inc., ABB Automation Technologies, First Energy Group LLC, and OEMCtrl Inc.
