ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America Educational Institute (ACCA-EI) Standards Task Team (STT) has announced an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) public review period for its “BSR/ACCA 5 QI -201x, HVAC Quality Installation Specification” as a revised industry standard. The public review period has a comment deadline of Oct. 4, 2010.

This proposed standard revises some of the established minimum attributes and specification elements on HVAC aspects related to design and equipment selection, equipment installation, distribution, and system documentation/owner education. The elements identify practices that lead to a quality HVAC installation in residential and commercial buildings.
