FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Bryan Stansell, president and owner of Stamar Inc., Atlanta, was named the 2005 Trane/PHCC HVAC Contractor of the Year at the annual convention of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association (PHCC).

Stansell, nominated by the Plumbing & Mechanical Association of Georgia, is known for bringing innovative technology and management practices to his company, says PHCC, as well as his commitment to service excellence.

In addition to serving as past president of PHCC Georgia, Stansell serves on the boards of the State Plumbing Association and the Quality Service Contractors (QSC), and is active in several community organizations, such as Atlanta's Habitat for Humanity program.

The runner-up honor went to Dan Foley, Foley Mechanical Inc., Alexandria, Va., who was nominated by the Plumbing & Mechanical Professionals of Virginia. Foley Mechanical specializes in radiant heating and snowmelt systems for custom homes. Employee training is one of the company's top priorities.

Foley is past president and past education chair of the Northern Virginia PHCC chapter. He also participates in the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) ICE Test Committee and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) executive board. He also is a past chair of the Radiant Panel Association and is a current board member.

In recognition of being named HVAC Contractor of the Year, Stansell received a check for $2,500 and a crystal award. The runner-up received a check for $500 and a plaque.
