LANSING, Ill. - Temperature Equipment Corp. (TEC), one of the country’s largest independently owned HVAC distributors, has acquired Excelsior Manufacturing & Supply, a major Midwestern HVAC distributor and sheet metal manufacturer. TEC distributes Carrier equipment, controls, parts, and supplies for residential, commercial, and industrial applications throughout Chicago and surrounding areas.
Excelsior is a privately owned, 128-year-old business with operations in five states - Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, and Minnesota - and will continue to operate independently and separately from TEC. Its seven branches include a facility in Brookfield, Mo., that manufactures sheet-metal components for air distribution systems. The terms of the sale were not disclosed.
“Excelsior provides an excellent opportunity for growth into multiple states,” said Denis Marino, president and chief operating officer at Excelsior. “Like TEC, Excelsior is a seasoned, independent company with a long history of excellent customer service,” he said, adding, “It’s a great fit.”
