AcoustiCap® is a molded com-pressor sound cover designed to reduce noise generated by air conditioning and refrigeration compressors, says the manufacturer. It is available in standard models that fit many of the compressors in common use. In addition, a premium cover is offered which delivers superior noise reduction for high-efficiency units, the company says. It is also available in generic models for use in the field for compressors which were installed without sound covers. The product features a snap closure system to ease installation, says the company.
