DALLAS, TX — The board of directors of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) has ended its search for the society’s chief paid executive.

During a meeting here in conjunction with the AHR Expo, the board decided to offer the job to its current elected president, Robb Isaacs, a Springfield, IL contractor.

Isaacs will hold the title of acting executive vice president until his term as president ends Oct. 28, after which he would become executive vp with what is expected to be a three-year contract. The board will meet again in June to iron out the details of the contract.

Isaacs said more than 50 persons were considered for the top paid position in the society before the board decided to shift gears and offer the position to Isaacs. The executive vp post has been vacant since the resignation of Joe Ziemba in October 1999.
