GREENVILLE, SC — Rockwell Automation recently launched a new B2B e-commerce site at www. PTplace.com. The site will allow authorized Rockwell Automation customers, distributors, and oem’s to access DODGE® and Reliance Electric® brand power transmission and drive control products directly through the Web site.

PTplace contains search functions including catalog data, inventory views, invoice information, and shipping information. Orders may be placed and tracked online — the order entry process can take as few as 15 sec, the company says.

The home page is tailored to individual users and appears to be industry- and product-specific to the user’s job and application needs. The home page also includes product information, purchase orders, ongoing promotions, and current news and editorials on industry matters.

“We have combined in-depth on-site interviews, telephone interviews, Distributor Council meetings, and weekly web conferences to make sure our site brings real value to our customers and distributors,” said Don Louis, director of e-commerce.
