The new Model 16700 heated diode leak detector is designed to pinpoint leaks quickly with reliable results and no false sensing, says the company. The unit indicates a leak with both audible and visual signals. As the sensing tip gets closer to a high concentration of refrigerant, the alarm increases in frequency. The visual leak signal provides reliability in noisy jobsites, the company says. The threshold balancing control gives the user control in eliminating background contamination so that leaks can be located faster, says the manufacturer.
