Robinair Div., SPX Corp.: ELECTRONIC LEAK DETECTOR

The Model 16600 electronic leak detector uses corona discharge technology to find leaks fast, and an ergonomic design to make leak detecting more convenient, says the manufacturer. The unit indicates a leak with both audible and visual signals. As the sensing tip gets closer to a high concentration of refrigerant, the alarm increases in frequency. The threshold balancing control feature gives the user infinite control in eliminating background noise so leaks can be pinpointed more quickly, the company says.
