The RauPlate™ joist space radiant heating system is a single-plate system. The single-plate design makes installation fast and easy. After fixing the radiant system to the underside of a suspended joist space floor, RauPEX® O2 barrier pipe is clipped quickly and firmly into the two pipe channels on the edges of the plate. The aluminum plates offer high conductivity and low weight. Plates are nominally 4 feet long with 8-inch on-center spacing. The fixing rail is molded with alternating small/large RauPEX tabs that securely hold the 1/2-inch pipe in place. The combination of the radiant system and fixing rails keeps a firm grip on the pipe, reducing expansion noise in the joist space.
