T plus 2® is a nonsetting, Teflon®-enriched pipe thread sealant suitable for use on PVC, CPVC, polyethylene, and ABS plastics, as well as galvanized steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, and aluminum threaded connections, the manufacturer states. According to the company, the sealant's low coefficient of friction allows tighter joint makeup with lower torque, and it breaks out easily without galling, seizing, or damaging threads. It has a temperature service range of -15 degrees to 450 degrees F and a liquid pressure up to 10,000 psi and gas pressure up to 2,000 psi. It allows for immediate pressurization on a wide range of service materials, says the manufacturer.
