MILWAUKEE - Philips Lighting Co., a division of Philips Electronics North America, an affiliate of Royal Philips Electronics, has joined Johnson Controls, the National Energy Foundation, and the U.S. Energy Association as a sponsor of the sixth annual Igniting Creative Energy (ICE) Challenge.

The ICE Challenge encourages students in kindergarten through 12th grade to come up with creative ways to make a difference in the environment through energy conservation.

“We are proud to be part of a competition that promotes environmentally sound behaviors to students,” said Jim Hunter, senior director, strategic marketing, Philips Lighting Co. “The cooperative educational partnership will enhance energy and environmental education in North America.”
