  • CAL-Air, Inc. (Whittier, CA) a specialty contractor, has named Mark Sampaio regional vice president for central California.
  • Darryl W. DeAngelis has been named national sales manager for Mestek, Inc.’s SpacePak and Koldwave.
  • Danfoss (Baltimore, MD) has appointed Rudy Bocchinfuso as key account manager covering oem customers in Canada, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. He will be based at the company’s facility in Mississauga, ON, Canada.
  • WAGO Corp. (Germantown, WI) appointed Bill Lydon as product manager, electronic products.
  • Dwight Perkins and Edwin Ho have joined the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials. Perkins will play a role in providing support for jurisdiction using the Uniform Codes, while Ho will manage the association’s Canadian operations.
  • Elected to the Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association’s (RETA’s) 2001-2002 executive board are: - chairman, Don Tragethon, Western Precooling Systems; - president, Mike Conti, Dual Temp of Wisconsin; - executive vice president, Chip Conlan, Devault Refrigeration Service, Inc.; - vice president, Charlie Kulp, Hatfield Inc.; and - treasurer, Doug Sweet, Vilter manufacturing Corp. New members of the board of directors are: - Scott Godfrey, Dual Temp of Wisconsin; - Gregory Jourdan, Wenatchee Valley College; - Jeffrey Rothermel, Evapco Inc.; and - Ron Whisenant, Dreyers Grand Ice Cream Inc.
  • Taylor Made Environmental, Inc. (Richmond, VA) named Charlie Barefoot as vice president of operations, Dan Roberts as director of engineering for the Richmond location, Ron Pabisz as director of engineering for the Pompano Beach, FL location, and Clive Cox as customer service manager for the Pompano Beach location.
  • CERF/IIEC, a nonprofit organization that collaborates with the construction, engineering, and environmental industries for an efficient and renewable future, has hired Paul B. Bleiweis, Ph.D. , as the chief operating officer. Harvey M. Bernstein, president and ceo of CERF/IIEC, has been selected by the U.S. Department of State to be a member of the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Industry Advisory Panel (IAP). The IAP will provide Overseas Buildings Operations with a chance to ensure that the best possible methods available are considered in order to provide safe, secure, and functional facilities for U.S. diplomatic missions throughout the world and to oversee the department’s real estate assets.
