  • A.O. Smith Water Products Co. (Ashland City, TN) has appointed Roy Wood to director of customer and product support and Matt Schultz to product manager for the company's standard commercial water heater line.

  • Loyd Krueger has been named Gulf Coast regional manager for Moisture Control Services, a division of Munters Corporation. He will be based at the Houston, TX office.

  • Michael C. Poyer has been named to the post of Western regional sales of Steril-Aire® Inc. (Cerritos, CA).

  • Elected to the Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association’s (RETA’s) executive board for 2002-2003 terms are:
    — chairman, Mike Conti, Dual Temp of Wisconsin;
    — president, Chip Conlan, Devault Refrigeration Service, Inc.;
    — executive vice president, Charlie Kulp, Hatfield Inc.;
    — vice president, Doug Sweet, Vilter Manufacturing Corp.; and
    — treasurer, Dave Murphy, Frick Company.
    New members of the board of directors are:
    Jim Barron, National Frozen Foods Corp.;
    Robert Ellision, General Refrigeration Company;
    Mattias Kohler, Logic Technologies Inc.; and
    Edward Seffens, Refrigerating Specialties.

  • Art Smith, president and CEO of ASAP Compressors (Boring MD) was elected president of the International Compressor Remanufacturing Association (ICRA).

  • Lauren Manufacturing (New Philadelphia, OH) has named Mikey Benes to the position of research/process engineer and Steve Schwartz to the position of process engineer.
