Parker Hannifin Makes Latin American Acquisition

SAO PAULO, Brazil — Parker Hannifin Corp. announced that it has acquired Atenas, a manufacturer of air conditioning and refrigeration components serving the Latin American market. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Atenas serves international and local air conditioning and refrigeration original equipment manufacturers with a line of receiver dryers, thermostatic expansion valves, accumulators, and refrigerant reclamation products.

“We are pleased to welcome Atenas to Parker,” said Ricardo Machado, president of the Latin America Group of Parker Hannifin. “Atenas is a perfect addition to our air conditioning and refrigeration line and will help us continue to grow in the Latin American markets by offering our global customers a complete system of precision-engineered products.”

Both of Atenas, co-owners, Pedro and Yanis Evangelinos, are joining Parker and will continue to manage the business.
