The Mobile-Deteka is a portable gas leak detector the size of a mobile phone, says the company. It detects LNG, LPG, butane, methane, and isobutene. The manufacturer states that it is ideal for pinpointing leaks around new gas pipes when installing a new boiler, and is very good for checking gas valves, gas meters, fires, and any other gas appliance where gas could leak. The unit runs on two AAA batteries and weighs 0.14 pounds (64 grams). To use, switch on the detector, then point the sensors around the area suspected of a gas leak. If gas is found, the red LED illuminates and the alarm sounds.
