Two scholarships of up to $2,000 each are available to students if they attend an HVACR training program at an institutionally accredited school. They must also be United States citizens, nationals, or resident aliens in preparation for a career in either residential air conditioning and heating, light commercial air conditioning and heating, or commercial refrigeration as an entry-level technician.
Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from present or past employers, present or former teachers, or other professionals. The applicant's prior education, work history, or military service must also be included with the submission. Finally, a typewritten personal statement letter of 150 to 200 words must be submitted explaining why the applicant would like to be considered for the scholarship.
