ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has released a new bulletin on its Web site, "Carbon Monoxide," as a part of its technical reference series.

According to ACCA, knowledge of issues associated with carbon monoxide production and poisoning is critical for HVACR system designers and service technicians. The "Carbon Monoxide" bulletin provides detailed information on the colorless, odorless gas, in addition to how to prevent harmful exposure.

Topics of the bulletin include physiological effects, tolerance standards, sources in residential and commercial buildings, venting and exhausting, testing and air sampling, and alarm equipment.

The "Carbon Monoxide" technical reference bulletin is available for ACCA members to download at www.acca.org/tech.
