DES PLAINES, Ill. — The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) has 19 training courses totaling 724 continuing education hours that have been recognized by North American Technician Excellence (NATE). According to RSES, technicians who successfully complete one or more of these courses will receive credit toward renewing their NATE certification.

Technicians certified under NATE must recertify every five years. NATE provides an opportunity for these technicians to earn recertification without having to retake the NATE exam. Technicians may recertify by participating in over 60 hours of NATE-recognized training courses within the given five-year period.

The NATE recognition of RSES is effective immediately and applies to specific RSES training courses, including Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (R/AC) Units 1-6; Heating Units 1-4; Electricity Units 1-5; Control Units 1,3, and 4; and Heat Pumps.
