MoreARLINGTON, Va. - Baker Distributing Co. will host North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification testing at the AHR Expo in Las Vegas on Jan. 31, 2011.
The test session will begin at 1 p.m. To help prepare technicians for the test, Baker Distributing will offer a two-and-a-half-hour NATE refresher course from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Registration forms are available on the AHR Expo’s 2011 website (www.ahrexpo.com), NATE’s website (www.natex.org) and Baker Distributing’s website (www.bakerdist.com).
Candidates can earn installation and/or service certification in nine specialty areas: air conditioning, air distribution, heat pumps, gas heating, oil heating, hydronics gas, hydronics oil, and commercial/light commercial refrigeration, and senior efficiency analyst.
“We encourage all technicians to get certified,” said Tom Robertson, director of technical services, Baker Distributing. “NATE certification allows technicians to gain the respect and recognition they deserve for their HVACR experience, knowledge, and skills. As a result, the companies they work for are more marketable as more and more homeowners are requesting NATE-certified HVACR technicians for their installation and service needs.”
