NATE Awards Football Tickets

BW Service Experts in Mishawaka, Ind., received a trip for two to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Fla., as the grand-prize winner of the North American Technician Excellence NATE Bowl.

ARLINGTON, Va. - North American Technician Excellence (NATE) announced BW Service Experts in Mishawaka, Ind., as its NATE Bowl grand-prize winner of a trip for two to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Fla.

“We are very excited to have won the NATE Bowl competition,” said Doug Gabbard, general manager of BW Service Experts. “We currently have 19 NATE-certified technicians here at BW Service Experts. We know how important the NATE program is - our technicians work very hard to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and provide the best, most efficient solutions for our customers.”

The NATE Bowl competition, which kicked off in February, was a way to build interest in getting more technicians certified and recertified in 2008. Teams earned points for every NATE-certified technician they have on staff. Additional points were earned each time a technician was certified (or recertified) or earned additional NATE credentials. All points were accrued during the NATE Bowl season, which lasted through Oct. 2008. Prizes also were awarded monthly in respective divisions, which were based on company size.

“The NATE Bowl was a success in helping to encourage certification and increase professionalism across the HVACR industry,” said Rex Boynton, president of NATE.

“For contractors, a larger number of NATE-certified technicians can mean fewer callbacks, less time spent on a job, and improved efficiency and productivity. This competition just added a little extra incentive.”
